Green Foods | 1.5 MW Grid Tied Solar Power Plant Case Study
Green Foods (Pvt) Ltd, established in 2010 in the heart of Punjab, Pakistan, is a certified organization known for its high-quality basmati rice production. Their commitment to excellence and swift services has made them a prominent player in the food industry. With a vision to serve the finest produce, they’ve established an integrated supply chain from farm to fork.
In their pursuit of quality and sustainability, Green Foods recognized the need to transition to renewable energy sources. This aligns with their environmental responsibility as a corporate citizen and the need to reduce their carbon footprint. To achieve this, they decided to install solar power plant at their premises.
Choosing DSG Energy, a reputable name in the renewable energy market, was a natural choice. DSG Energy is known for its commitment to sustainability and innovative energy solutions, making them an ideal partner for Green Foods.
DSG Energy successfully designed and installed a 1.5 MW solar power plant at Green Foods’s facility in Kamoke. The solar power plant utilizes advanced photovoltaic technology to harness the abundant sunlight and convert it into clean, renewable electricity.
For this project, 565W N-Type Bifacial Canadian solar panels were chosen, marking one of the first installations of this kind in Pakistan. To ensure the system’s reliability and performance, a 115 KTL Huawei inverter was selected. Huawei inverters are renowned for their efficiency and dependability, making them a suitable choice for this solar installation.
The installation of a 1.5 MW solar power plant, however, was not without its challenges. The open location, devoid of parapet walls, exposed the solar panels to high wind pressures. To address this issue, a robust structural design was meticulously implemented to ensure the stability and longevity of the system.
Furthermore, the solar system spanned three separate warehouses with significant distances between them. This logistical challenge required an innovative solution. DSG Energy, in a display of professionalism and ingenuity, devised a plan to spread cable bridges, connecting each warehouse to a central inverter room. This solution minimized energy loss and maintained the system’s efficiency, ultimately ensuring the project’s success.
In conclusion, Green Foods’ decision to embrace renewable energy sources and partner with DSG Energy not only represents their commitment to sustainable practices but also their proactive approach to environmental responsibility. This solar power project reduces their carbon footprint and serves as a testament to their dedication to a more eco-friendly future.
The collaboration between Green Foods and DSG Energy has laid a strong foundation for a more sustainable and environmentally responsible future, benefiting both the company and the broader ecosystem. This project underscores the importance of corporate responsibility in a world where sustainability is of paramount significance.
Let’s Keep Moving Towards A Greener Future!
