Suncrop Group 1.25MW Grid Tied Power Power Plant – Case Study
Climate change has become a significant concern globally, and now is the time when this specific aspect cannot be neglected anymore, if the world actually wants to save the planet from more catastrophic results, it needs to take more severe and quick actions towards sustainability. Carbon footprint is one of the major culprits that’s been polluting the whole atmosphere to a destructive level and reducing the overall caron from the environment, should be of the top list priorities, when it comes to the solving this global issue.
Having the energy shift from the conventional to unconventional resources can be one of the most reliable, durable and efficient solution to fight the climate battle.
Considering the renewables as the top solutions, the importance of having the unlimited sunlight round the year, is inevitable. Switching to Solar is a loud answer to start the energy shift. The installation of the Solar Power Plant has several environmental benefits. First, it reduces the greenhouse gases (GHGs) emissions by generating clean and green energy. Second, it helps to conserve the natural resources, such as fossil fuels, by reducing one’s reliance on non-renewable sources. Third, it helps to reduce the amount of pollution generated by traditional power sources. The plant would also have a positive impact on the community as it promotes the Renewable and Sustainable practices, overall.
Suncrop Group, a leading agricultural products manufacturer in Pakistan, recently installed a 1.25MW Solar Power Plant to power its facilities along with partnership of DSG Energy. The plant is equipped with 2294 Canadian Solar panels and 10 inverters of Huawei 100KTL. This case study is examining the technical & environmental benefits of the plant, including its impact on climate change and sustainability
This Solar Power Plant is a significant step in the Suncrop’s journey towards sustainability. The plant is expected to generate approximately 2.24GWh of clean energy, annually, reducing the dependency on the grid, which is majorly a non-renewable source of power. Also, this plant is responsible for saving 897.78 tons of standard coal that would have been utilized, contributing almost 1.07K tons of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. The plant has also reduced the company’s electricity cost, as the energy generated is free and does not require payment of the electricity and utility bills. The plant is also catering the green outcome, equivalent of 1460 trees, per year.
This State-of-the-art DSG powered Grid-Tied Solar Power Plant is a significant step towards a sustainable future, generating clean power and reducing the overall pollution and emissions. The plant itself is an example of how business practices can reduce their environmental impact and promote sustainability through renewable energy.
